Ernest comes to Syracuse University after serving the students of Colgate University as Assistant Director in the Office of Undergraduate Studies. While at Colgate, Ernest supported many pro-student causes that established him as a consistent resource for students and social justice. Ernest's no-nonsense leadership style encourages students to push beyond limitations in order to truly accomplish their goals. Ernest Daily attended East Carolina University as an undergraduate and graduate student in addition to working at the institution upon graduation in the offices of Undergraduate Admission, Orientation, Student Activities and the Ledonia Wright Cultural Center.
Sheila's career in higher education has focused on administrative services and program coordination for a diverse student population through two grant programs, the Ronald McNair Post-Baccalaureate Program and the Collegiate Science & Technology Entry Program. She is responsible for all administrative aspects of the programs, and strives for a collaborative approach in her work. Prior to coming to S.U. in 2005, Sheila was a retirement planning specialist, counseling higher education employees regarding their retirement portfolios. Earlier, she was the Executive Director of non-profit organization in Albany, NY, where she oversaw a staff of 5, managed budgets, and successfully secured grant funding for the organization programs. Her interest in working with youth stems from her volunteer work as a youth minister and prior position as a scout leader for many years. Sheila is currently working on a degree in Social Work at Syracuse University.
